Catching Up On My Scrapbooking

I have been so lazy about scrapbooking. I'm taking pictures, but I'm not getting them in books. I decided I need to catch up, so I just grabbed some pictures and got going. This first page is of our family photo. It's been a few years since these were taken, so I took them out of the frame and made our scrapbook page. Really like how it turned out. It's not quite done. I think I am going to add the letter E somewhere to the page and I need to figure out what year this was taken to add that in.

This next page is of course my daughter's volleyball pictures from freshman year. She is a junior this year, so I do need to get caught up. This one is okay, but I have the same size photos every year and it's getting challenging to come up with some different looking pages.

It won't be long until she graduates and I'll have my pages to look back on when I miss her---better do more tonight!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Card For A Friend

One of the Mom's from my daughter's basketball team was having some surgery done and she asked me to make a card for her that all the girls could sign. Of course she asked me the night before she wanted to take it to school, so there was not a lot of time to plan out a card. I am a paper-holic so I wasn't concerned about not having paper. I just wasn't sure on the design. Once I started it all came together.
We sent along a pair of earrings I made, in her favorite color.
Get well soon Cindy.

Sledding at Swedetown

Skiing complete-it was sledding time! Grandpa got him ready and then...a big push down the hill.

The worst part of sledding is having to walk back up the hill.

A couple times, Grandpa went down and helped him up.

The view from the top of the hill.

First time on the big hill.

Look at that big smile--I think he likes it!

Maybe we should put the rope back on the sled.

Another push and another run down.

I sure am glad I took the afternoon off of work to go play with my guys! It was worth it!

Learning To Ski

Recently, our grandson had an afternoon off from school. His Dad had to work, so my hubby and I decided we would take him out to learn to cross country ski. He also wanted to go sledding, so we struck a deal. Try skiing first and then sledding next. Agreed.
My hubby put the skis on him and stayed by his side while I took pictures (my usual job). He did great! I skied next to him and he got the motion of skiing right away.

He fell a few times. Grandpa was right there to pick him up!

He wanted to go down hills, but we told him he wasn't ready for the hills just yet.

This is a great picture of hubby and grandson. They both look like they are having so much fun!

These two guys are the best buds!

He wants to go skiing with Grandma again. If he likes it Grandpa said he'll get skis and come with us! Yea!!

Next on the list---SLEDDING!

Sledding

We were lucky enough to get to spend some time with our Grandson this weeken. We bought him a sled for Christmas and he was anxious to put it to use. We wanted to take him to a popular sledding hill in town, but he had been ill for over a week so we were a little reluctant to take him out. We finally decided that we should let him at least go out in our yard and break in the sled. Here he is all dressed waiting for Gpa to get his stuff on. He went down a small little bank we had by our steps. He loved it! He looked back at me and I snapped this picture. What a big, happy smile!

He just wanted Gpa to push him down the small hill, but it was getting quite cold.

So, it was time to come in and get some hot chocolate.

The next day we did take him to the sleddin hill in town and I'll just say.....we.will.be.going.back!
