Graduate Cory

My nephew, Cory graduated on May 27, 2011. That makes the second nephew to graduate. Next year another nephew, then the year after our daughter. Whew! Slow Down people!!
The picture to the left is of a picture of Cory's graduating class. Nice and small.

My Pretties

Ahhhh, my pretties are flowering!
These primroses came from my MIL who got them from out on the property by an old foundation. They bloom before anything in my yard (besides the weeds)!

I put this old stair post in the garden but haven't put the birdhouse on top of it yet. I need to have the hubs put a piece of re-bar in it so it doesn't keep falling over.

Hopefully, my other plants will start blooming. It's been a cold spring so my flowers are a bit late. Usually the rhodies are out and the peonies aren't too far behind.

Don't Wait!

So, this is what I paid for gas per gallon yesterday. It was down to 3.78 but I decided to wait until after work to get gas....

Hopefully gas prices will go down more. It seems the prices change a couple times a day now.

Sure wish I worked closer to home. I could bike or walk instead of having to put gas in the tank!

Prom Night

Terra and I went to Lake Linden's Grand March to see her cousins (my nephews). Cory and Chris looked so handsome in their WHITE tuxes! Cory, Terra and Chris.

Always gotta be foolin' around! Ha!Ha! It doesn't look like Cory liked getting his hand licked. Love the look on Chris' face--looks mischievous!

Good thing Sarah is not whimp!! She handled 99% of Terra's weight!

Everyone looked fabulous. Hope they all had a great night at their prom!

Cory and Chris said they would take Terra next year!! I would so love to see them all go and get Robert to go too.

Mother's Day Photo Shoot

My daughter came out of her room on Saturday and announced that she was meeting up with her cousins to go have a picture taken for their Oma for a Mother's Day gift.
Just after that a big black vehicle drove up in my driveway. We couldn't figure out who it was....until Robert got out and waved to us.
I asked him why he was there and said that Chris had told him to meet for a picture for Oma.
There was some confusion....who was taking the picture? Where were you guys going to have the picture taken? Who set this up?
I met Rob's friends and we chatted for a few minutes and then Cory, Sarah and Chris showed up.
It seems that I was taking the picture and we were taking it in my yard! No matter, I sure didn't mind. I love all these kids and sure wish they would come around more.
So, the following pictures are of Oma's grandchildren.

Aren't they a good looking bunch?!

Love you guys!!

Playing Catch-Up

I'm trying to get caught up on my regular scrapbooking. I've been getting my daughter's sports pictures organized and finished two pages. This is Terra's 7th grade track picture. I am trying to get the professional pictures done first and then I'll scrapbook the pictures I took later.
Above is Terra's 8th grad track picture. The picture isn't the greatest but you get the idea.

I have so many pictures to get on to some kind of pages. I feel like I'll never get caught up, but I'll keep trying.

New Scrapbook

I have started a new scrapbook, imagine that! It's not the same as my other scrapbooks. This one is a day to day book to see what you and your family do in a year's time. I haven't been able to keep up with getting the pictures printed but I am keeping a journal of everything and when I get the pictures printed I do all the journaling. It's been really fun. I was reluctant to do this because I thought I had a really boring life, but I guess I need to look back on all our daily goings-on. I'll keep you updated on the progress of the book.
