Track Meet in Hancock

Terra had a track meet at the new Hancock track.  The whole day was beautiful and at about 3pm it started to cloud up.  I thought maybe it would rain and I'd have to watch in the rain--wouldn't matter--I love watching her!

I got to the track and the wind had picked up and it was actually pretty cold. I always feel bad for the kids because they just have shorts and a tank on.

Terra raced in the 100m hurdles (2nd place), the 300m hurdles (3rd place) and the 400m relay (1st place).  She did awesome.  I am so proud of our little peanut tackling those hurdles.  She goes over them so easy!

Their next meet is in Negaunee for Regionals to quality for U.P.'s.  Good luck to Terra and her CHS track team.

Sweet Boy

My grandson found my music boxes in the china cabinet. At first I was a little relunctant to let him play with them, but changed my mind when I saw how he loves to wind them and listen to them.

He was having a hard day with his asthma so he sat on the recliner listening to the box and fell asleep.
I just love sitting and looking at him and am in total awe at how this boy has come so far after coming into this world so early and so very little.

I am forever grateful for the time we spend with him.

Copper Country Invitational Track Meet in Lake Linden

Terra had a track meet yesterday in Lake Linden.  After some rain in the morning and a little in the afternoon, it turned out to be a pretty nice day.

Terra did well in her events.  Check out the pictures below.

She placed third in the 100m hurdles, fourth in the 300m hurdles and her 1600m relay team took third.
Her school took an overall second out of eleven schools attending.  GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

Her next meet is in Ontonagon and I'm trying to get out of work to go.  Might have to be a bit under the weather that day......

Enjoying Frosting With A Little Cupcake

I made cupcakes for my daughter to bring to the Prom so the kids had some munchies for the evening.  We made a few extra with some extra frosting, 'cuz that's the way my Grandson loves them.
He had frosting all the way to his nose! The extra frosting was a hit!

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you enjoy my pictures.  I sure do love my life!

2012 Jr. Prom

My daughter had her Jr. Prom a few weekends ago. She looked absolutely beautiful!!
This is her, her date and another couple that they are good friends with.  What a handsome bunch.
The nephews were excited to come to the grand march to see Terra. Love having them all together.
This is Terra's best friend with her beau. So love this young lady!

Terra was 1st runner up for Prom Queen and the young man was 1st runner up for King.
My favorite picture of the two of them.

Her cousins like to kid around with her!
I love the color of her dress!

 Let's see the back!
Terra and her friend, Nikki.

She had a great time at the prom and after came to our house for munchies and movies with her friends. I don't know how late they stayed up, but I went to bed way before them.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

It's boring waiting for those eggs to take the dye as you can tell by the look on Nathan's face.
Nathan helped put the dye in the cups (counting drops is a good job for a five year old)
We had so much fun together dyeing eggs. He loves putting the eggs in the cups, checking them and taking them out.
I got a picture of him with the eggs that he already dyed. What a cutie!

I snapped this photo when he decided that he loved this red egg! This was going to be Grandpa's egg.

Nathan is making another egg for Grandpa. He is using a crayon to write G-pa's name so he knows it's his.
This guy loves his Grandpa so much---makes me a bit jealous--but in a good way:)
Taking his time making Grandpa's egg.
Using the bunny spoon to get the egg out of the cup.
I've always loved coloring eggs and it just so much more fun when you have a child to do it with.
I think we'll do some more egg dyeing this summer--just for giggles. We'll take them camping and they will be our special camping eggs.
Thank you Nathan for letting Grandma color eggs with you. I had a ton of fun.

Nathan and Marty

This is my grandson and his new pet, Marty. He was so excited to have his very own pet! At first he was a bit rough with Marty and Dad had to take him away for a bit, but once things were explained to him, Marty was reunited with his new owner.
He called our house and told us he got a bunny and asked if he could bring it over. My hubby and I were a little reluctant. We remembered the last small animal (Elvis-a teddy bear hamster) that our daughter had. But, of course, we said he could bring it over.
Marty is a very good bunny. He just sat around and let us all pet him and hold him.
He even let our dog, Daisy, sniff him. Daisy was very nervous when Marty was out of his cage.
Nathan loves Marty and is learning to be gentle with him.

Kisses for Marty.
We took Marty out quite a bit when he was here. Then it was time to bring Nathan and Marty back to Dad's house.
Nathan asked us if he could bring Marty back.
Of course. We're grandparents--and we love Nathan to the moon and back--and.....Marty will always, always live at Dad's house:)

Progress On Making Earrings

I've been kicking around the idea of selling my earrings at our town's farmers market. This set is plain but I really like it. The lime green beads really don't need a lot of other findings to look pretty.

A few weeks ago, my sister asked if I wanted to go in the farmers market with her. I am interested, I just need to come up with an idea on how to display them. I've seen them displayed many ways.
I love this set and will make another pair just for me. The blue faceted bead is more beautiful in person!
This set was so easy to make. I love these too and will need to make another set for myself!
Ahhh, red--my favorite color. It's funny how I love this color but barely wear it. The faceted beads pick up the light and shines so beautiful!
It's hard to see this bead, but in person they are very interesting.
I enjoy putting these earrings together and I give so many out to friends.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my earrings.
