Try Again!

My grandson's first attempt at skating did not go well. He didn't want to skate at all and cried when the skates went on. I left work early to go and watch and try to get some pictures, but when I got there he was in a full sobbing mode. I tried to talk him into trying to skate but he was having nothing to do with it. So, I asked him if he would like to watch and see what the kids were doing out there. He was up for that and we stayed and watched for about 15 minutes.
Today we are going to try it again. We've been talking to him about it all week and he seems to want to try. I'm hoping that my Mom and Dad will get pictures because I can't leave work today. If they are successful in getting him on the ice and getting a picture or two, I will definitely share.

What A Cutie!

My son sent me this picture of my granddaughter. We haven't received too many pictures of this little darling....long story. Isn't she just gorgeous!! She is growing up so fast. It's so sad because she lives so far away with her Mommy in Canada.

I sure hope that one day our little granddaughter will get to come back to the states so we can give her all the hugs and kisses that we missed giving her.

I love you Sophie and I always will....you are our sunshine.

Making A Boy Happy

Our grandson just loves big trucks!!! He loves going for rides and looking for back hoes, loaders, excavators, log trucks.......and on and on. Well, this morning we went over to where Grandpa works and his got to go in the SnoGo!! Man, talk about making a boy happy!
This is a shot of him sitting in the SnoGo with Grandpa. You can't really see him but we call him the wing man.
Here is a shot of the SnoGo from the back. It's a pretty cool machine. It eats up the snow and spits it out with great force!

Here you can see it throwing the snow. It's like a huge snow blower but cooler cuz you get to drive it and move all the levers and stuff.....big fun for boys of all ages!!
This is our grandson. So geeked because he is in the SnoGo. I'm sure it'll be tough getting him out of that seat!

Can you tell he is happy!!!?

"Bye Grandma. I'm staying here with Grandpa!!" He was so excited! He got a chance to move the lever that works the shute.
I love seeing his big smile when he is happy. It makes this Grandma's heart so happy! Being a grandparent is so wonderful. You get a chance to play and act silly and no one really says anything about it.

Our Far Away Sweetheart

This is our granddaughter, Sophie. This picture was taken at her third birthday party. Although we never get the chance to see her I am grateful for pictures. Sophie lives with her Mommy in Canada. It is heartbreaking to have a grandchild that you never get to hold and kiss and play with.
Maybe one day we will get to travel to Canada for a visit with her. I am hoping that her Mommy and Daddy can work out their differences so she can one day come back into the states to be with her Daddy and his family. It's just not right to expect Daddy to be responsible in some ways but not be allowed to see his little girl.
We love you Sophie and someday you will get big hugs and kisses from Grammie. XXXOOO
