This is what I will try to remember and incorporate everyday for 2014.  I believe life is only what you make it.

One thing I have to look forward to in 2014 is that we are expecting a grandchild!! ANNNNDDDD it's a GIRL! This will be our third grandchild and we look forward to spoiling her!

I also look forward to getting reacquainted with my granddaughter Sophie. It was so wonderful to be able to Skype with her at Christmas time. She is a beautiful little girl with a toothless smile that we all loved.

I look forward to going camping, fishing, hiking, riding the side by side and enjoying life! 2014 will be a wonderful year.

You have two days left to enjoy 2013......LIVE IT UP!!

2013 Is Almost Over

Catching Up! Again!

Well, I've been MIA again! I can't believe I have neglected this blog mostly because I love to keep you informed about my wonderful family.

This past year sure went fast.  Our daughter, Terra was a senior and we were so very busy with all her activities that the blog suffered.  So now I am back and will try to catch up.  I won't bore you with it all, but I'll try to get you up to date.

The following pictures are from Terra's last ice show with the Calumet Figure Skating Club.  It was a fun show and she had a lot of fun.  She did so great with her solo.....makes me proud!

Enjoy the pics and thanks for coming by.

 Best friends, Terra and Meghan.
 Cousins Rachel and Terra.
Rachel, Grandma Erkkila and Terra! Aren't they beautiful ladies?!
 Another BFF, Katherine.
Enjoy your day!!

Thanksgiving Morning Walk

Portage Health had a Turkey Trot walk on Thanksgiving morning.  It was a 5K and I figured it was very doable and I should get off the duff and do it, so I called my big sis a couple days before and it was a date!!

While we were walking the last of a huge hill a deer came shooting out and ran across the road only to slip and slide on the blacktop and tumble over and into the gravel on the other side.  I felt so bad for the animal but it.was.hilarious!!  Sure wish I would have had a camera although it happened so fast I probably wouldn't have caught it anyway.

Well, the walk was fun and we'll certainly do it again next year.  Maybe we'll get more people to walk with us.

More Pictures and Catching Up-----My Princess

Terra was the 2012 Homecoming Queen this year!!  She's always been a princess, now she has the crown to prove it.  I went to the school to watch as the kids went on stage...very exciting.
This is Terra with her cousin, Rachel.  Such sweet ladies!
Terra at half time during the football game.
Here is Terra with her king, Bryce.  They are really a cute couple.  If she didn't have a cute boyfriend already, I would vote for him!!

She is having an awesome senior year!

Our Grandson's First Year Hockey Picture

This is our darling grandson, Nathan.  He is the sun, moon and stars to us!

This year is his first year in hockey.  It's been wonderful having a hockey player to go and watch!

It is amazing to see his progress---from not skating very well to skating very well in a few short months!  Of course he likes to skate fast but does not stop that well.  That needs some work!!

See ya at the rink!

Nathan Gets His First Squirrel

My son and grandson took a walk out behind the house to go bird hunting this fall.  Nathan wanted to take his BB gun.  We allow him to take care of the pesky squirrels in the yard.

This is what they came back with!

Nathan got his first squirrel and an albino at that!

Another hunter in the family......

Still Here--Still Busy--Still Lovin' Life!

It's been so long since I've posted pictures.  Life has been fun AND busy!

Here are some volleyball pics from my daughter's games...they were so much fun to watch!

I have so many more photos of volleyball, but thought these few would be great for my family and friends from away to take a peek at.

Terra received honors in district, region and state.  We are so very proud of her!

We have her volleyball banquet tonight and I am sure there will be tears from this Mom.
